Notes from Green Thumb Farm

Category:

Strawberries are coming in and so are the rains. We've had some rain every day for the last 12 days so it will soon dry out and we'll be looking for rain! The weather systems seem to be alternating 2 weeks wet with 2 weeks dry.

Our spring farm tour and strawberry picking is happening rain or shine on June 27th. Walking tours of some of the crops will be at 10:30, Noon and 1:30. We will meet at the field on Rose Hill Road just east of our farm stand (2nd right after the farm stand, then the field immediately to the right). Please park outside of the gate.

There is a lot of traffic going east on a Saturday morning into afternoon so plan travel with plenty of time (3 hours is suggested). This is the only time to see the fields this spring and summer, so we hope to see as many members and family members as possible (please note that the invitation is for members and family only).

Organically yours,
Farmer Bill
