Hay Ride and Pumpkin Picking

October 21

Green Thumbs annual Fall Farm tour.  It will be a sit down riding tour in a farm wagon pulled by a tractor. 

Join us at Green Thumb Organic Farm on October 21st for pumpkin picking and a hayride tour of the farm.  The tour takes place on a hay rack and includes a tour of the fields where our delicious veggies come from each week and pumpkin picking at the end of the tour!

October 21st @ 12:30pm. We're inviting our CSA members to join the 12:30pm tour so we can enjoy it together, but if you prefer a different tour time, you are very welcome to attend a different tour as well.

Film Screening & Panel Discussion: A Plastic Ocean
September 9 from 2-5pm

Join us for a FREE film screening of A Plastic Ocean followed by a panel discussion with local environmental advocates of the NYC community including our own Denise Bolognino!
“A PLASTIC OCEAN begins when journalist Craig Leeson, searching for the elusive blue whale, discovers plastic waste in what should be pristine ocean. In this adventure documentary, Craig teams up with free diver Tanya Streeter and an international team of scientists and researchers, and they travel to twenty locations around the world over the next four years to explore the fragile state of our oceans, uncover alarming truths about plastic pollution, and reveal working solutions that can be put into immediate effect.”

Rethink Plastic's event will include panelist from different sectors of the NYC environmental advocacy community.
