Hello Members,

Below is the list of shares we'll be receiving tomorrow at distribution. Please remember to bring your own bags and any extras you may wish to donate to other members. Please, also, remember that distribution is 5:30 to 7:30 on Tuesdays. If you cannot pick-up during this specified regular time, please arrange for a friend or family member to pick-up for you during regular distribution time or your share will be donated at the end.

There has been some question in the past few weeks about leftovers and sizes of shares. Please know that the CSA doesn't determine the share size. Our farmers send a list with the boxes of produce letting site managers know what the size of the shares will be. In addition to the above, we also give some leftovers to Fresh Start, as they very generously donate space to the CSA every week for distribution. We could not afford to rent that space or any in the area and are very grateful for Fresh Start's generosity and in sharing our mission of increasing the availability of locally farmed organic produce to the Astoria community. Further, the site managers may pass on some leftovers to volunteers who have worked on that particular distribution, if there is enough leftover. If you would like the chance at a larger share, please feel free to donate your time to helping out at distribution, with the understanding that we cannot guarantee leftovers! It is hard but rewarding work and offers a wonderful chance for you to get to know your fellow members!

Vegetable Share:

Additionally, Bill said he may have ONE cucumber per member at distribution, depending on what the fields yield today!

Basil Shares (There are five people that have purchased basil shares this week. Please check your account to insure you have purchased a basil share for this week prior to picking it up so that members who have paid for this ad-hoc share get their basil. Thank you.)

Additionally, there will be a Lewis Waite farm delivery for those who have ordered for tomorrow's delivery. Please check your invoices sent via email from LWF prior to pick-up.
