Hello everybody and welcome to The Green Thumb Farm’s 22nd season of Community Supported Agriculture!  We appreciate everybody that has been with us for years, and to all the new and returning members, thank you for supporting what we do.

We hope you all had a good winter, we’ve been busy over the past few months getting things ready for this coming season, and there is a lot to be excited about!  A new greenhouse constructed, fenced in another field to protect from deer damage, drilled two wells for irrigation, and planted a new asparagus plot as well as an assortment of berries!

Since it’s the beginning of June, we have asparagus, strawberries, rhubarb, onions, lettuces, peas and a variety of herbs coming to fruition.  The weather has been quite soggy, making it difficult to get our planting accomplished properly, however we have had some beautifully warm and sunny days bringing some much needed vitamin D.

We have just finished transplanting our summer staples: Tomatoes, pepper, eggplant, squash, cucumbers and beans.  Our 3rd year of ginger has been planted in our new greenhouse, with double the amount.. so some may be spicing up your bags around the end of the year.

We have our strawberry picking farm tour coming up, a walking tour through our field for CSA members and their families.  Our field is located at 2 Rose Hill Road, Water Mill, NY 11976.  (The intersection of Rose Hill Road and Montauk Highway) The tours take place on Saturday June 24th at 10:30, 11:30, 12:30 and 1:30.  For more information or questions feel free to contact our farm stand between the hours of 9-5, at 631-726-1900.  We hope to see you soon!

Organically Yours,

The Green Thumb Farm Family
